There is a lot to say about constantly being bombarded with phone calls on a daily basis, Central Florida seniors know firsthand. No one likes getting calls from pushy salespeople trying to get you to buy this or look at that. Telemarketed campaigns are a big no-no, especially for individuals seeking a home for their loved ones. When searching for senior living for your loved one, you may inquire information about a service from an online lead generating placement company by phone or through the web. Your name lands on their call list, and then boom, call after call, multiple times a day, you receive several numbers from people asking about your loved one for senior living. While some are very interested in this, a lot of the time, they simply do not need their services anymore, or never gave the company permission to call them repeatedly in the first place.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Your number may remain on these lists until someone sends an email directly to the business requesting to be removed. And even then, that may not always work as technology has proven to slip through the cracks. Going out of your way to let someone know to stop calling you when you were never asked, to begin with, is not only irritating but time-consuming as well. We have personally been told by our clients and seniors in Central Florida that these calls ruin their day and wish someone would have asked if this was alright. As a business, instead of treating these individuals as a “hot lead” but rather people who truly need guidance with their loved one should be common sense.

Telephone Consumer Protection Act comes into play here as it has been recently violated by an online referral senior placement company. One time is too many in our book. Unlike an online referral company, North Star Senior Advisors receives verbal and written consent from our clients before we meet the family or conduct an assessment. This is extremely crucial to the way we run our business because, ultimately, we are here for our clients best interests.

We understand this is a tough period for Central Florida seniors or anyone to go through, and we do not want to bombard individuals with unsolicited phone calls. By filling out our online Care Assessment form, or receiving a call inquiring about our services, we verify consent for one of our trusted senior advisors to reach out to them. As we are a smaller company and not a national corporation, we do not force calls or have numerous employees calling from different states. We treat each client with the respect and dignity they deserve. Our goal is for us to serve the senior community by utilizing our knowledge of senior living and network of trusted partners while remaining by your side every step of the way.
